Colour a lovely intense purple.
Nose: Complex and intense, the nose reveals jammy blackcurrant and cherry aromas and also displays great intensity on notes of leather, toast and vanilla.
Palate: Very round, with rich and powerful flavours, the wine opens on black cherry and ripe damson, followed by liquorice and mild spice and ending on a touch of black coffee. Very long on the palate, this is a complex and harmonious wine with excellent ageing potential.
Roast lamb, cep mushrooms, venison stew.
